The William D. Witter Memorial Internship Program is designed to give exceptional students from top-tier institutions meaningful exposure to the financial services industry by placing them in a highly competitive internship at a leading Wall Street Investment Management Firm. At this firm they will be given significant responsibility and will be exposed to all facets of the business. This program was created in honor of William D. Witter, the son of Dean Witter and the founder of the firm that shares his namesake. William D. Witter truly believed in mentoring aspiring young managers and many, most notably Mario Gabelli, blossomed under his tutelage. It is the mission of the William D. Witter Foundation to carry on this tradition and to give bright young people the opportunity to learn from leaders in the industry.
